The original paperwork on Hawksley's SSJ Hurst Grand Prix shows a cost of $1,640.71 was added to the $5,333.15 price tag for the SSJ Hurst package—a very healthy tab for 1972. The car is in excellent unrestored condition and sports the optional gold Honeycomb wheels. It was purchased by Hawksley's son Greg from the widow of the original owner, who bought the car new from Stephen Pontiac in Bristol, Conn. At first, Greg Hawksley wasn't quite sure what he had, but his research verified that this was a very lucky find--one of only 60 built in the SSJ Hurst's final year.
